cora slipover
The Cora Slipover is a super chunky knit vest, made using three strands of DK held at once. It produces the most gorgeously squishy texture that makes the best layering piece in your handmade wardrobe. With a simple crew neck and neat ribbed detailing around the hem, neck and arms, it’s such a fun and sophisticated piece designed to use up that pesky scrap yarn you’ve had lying around.
This garment is made with negative ease, but due to the stretchy nature of knit fabric it moulds to your body perfectly without being too tight. If you’d prefer a more loose fitting garment, feel free to size up.
The garment is worked in the round for the body, before splitting for the front and back. The rest of the slipover is worked flat. To make this pattern, you will need to know how to: Knit, Purl, 1 x 1 rib, SSK, K2tog.
You’ll need a 100cm cable length, plus shorter for the neck/sleeve rib.
Bust sizes given as XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X): 101 (110, 116, 124, 136, 144, 160, 168, 176) cm requiring a total of 581 (645, 761, 845, 932, 1024, 1132, 1252, 1324) metres of DK-weight yarn (194 (215, 254, 282, 311, 341, 377, 417, 441) PER colour of DK yarn)
