blaire cardigan
Blaire is a super chunky bell sleeve cardigan made using two strands of DK yarn held together. By using two strands of DK, it allows you to really play around with colour and produce a squishy, size-inclusive cardigan that is perfect for snuggling up in!
The garment is made up of a funky stitch that produces a great knit-like effect, with a full demo included in the pattern. It’s a really easy stitch to master and with both strands of DK this pattern works up in no time at all, making it an ideal beginner garment pattern!
I chose to make my Blaire Cardigan in two similar colours (SSDK Claret and Copper) for a subtle, tonal effect, but feel free to use this pattern as a Lærke Bagger or Knit Edit-inspired scrap buster!
Bust sizes given as XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X): 100 (110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 165, 175) cm requiring 1698 (1849, 2012, 2209, 2399, 2617, 2814, 3009, 3159) metres. (If using two colours, halve the total amount and use that meterage PER colour.)
This pattern is available in both UK & US terminology so you don’t have to translate stitches!
