beatrice v neck
The Beatrice V Neck is a super slouchy, button-up cardigan with a deep plunge neckline, making it the perfect spring layer piece. The body and sleeves are made almost entirely out of treble stitches, making this a quick and easy garment to work up, with simple decreases to create the neckline and balloon sleeves. I chose to use DK yarn to have a vast array of colours at my disposal, but it would look amazing as a colour-block or striped version too!
Beatrice is an incredibly versatile make: you can wear her open, buttoned and with or without a layer underneath if you’re feeling fancy! It’s an ideal beginner garment or just a lovely simple make for more advanced makers. As the garment is worked in horizontal rows, it’s really easy to add or remove length to make this garment as short or as long as you’d like.
Bust sizes given as XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X): 100 (110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 165, 170) cm requiring 1052 (1181, 1298, 1350, 1464, 1569, 1644, 1736, 1880) metres of DK weight yarn.
This pattern is available in both UK & US terminology so you don’t have to translate stitches, with instructions for left-handed makers!
